It's Ok

Its Ok Thursdays

I am linking up with my first ever It's ok Thursday

It's Ok:

That my jeans are a little too short. Hey I'm 5'11" and way too cheap to buy jeans that come in a long

That I had taco truck for lunch and then came back to work and ate 2 pieces of birthday cake. I had to try both flavors

That I am having a mini anxiety attach over Christmas and birthday shopping this year.

That we moved into our house almost 2 weeks ago and we are still living in a sea of boxes, and 3/4 of Chris's and my clothes are on the floor because we don't have any dressers and I ran out of hangers.

That I put Hayes to bed at 7pm every night so I don't go crazy.

That I haven't uploaded my pictures onto the computer for over a month now. Hence why I haven't posted Hayes's 10 month update.

Have a good weekend everyone hopefully we will be able to put our house in some sort of order this weekend, so I can take some pictures and then try to remember to upload them!

Christmas Presents

So have any of you started Christmas shopping? I am horrible about this. Every year, I start thinking and planning close to Halloween. Then I hit a wall. I never actually go and purchase anything. This year I am actually a little bit ahead. When Chris and I were in Soap Lake we bought a couple of presents at garage sales. I think I have my mom all taken care of.

Then I run into the problem that Ariana's birthday is the end of November and Hayes's birthday is the beginning of December. So I have to buy double the presents for the two of them. Ariana is fairly easy and I actually have a couple things for her. Hayes on the other hand, I have absolutely no clue. I have never bought for a baby before. It kind of sounds crazy that I have no clue what to buy for my own son. He doesn't really need anything. I kind of thought about not getting him anything, because I know he will get so much from other people, but that just sounds horrible!

Maybe I am way over thinking it.

What do you guys think? What should I buy my own soon to be one year old son? Oh and for the record, I didn't get him anything last year. (And now that I typed it, I am kinda feeling guilty)

17. Where were you born?
Northwest Washington. I am the 5th generation in our county, and my family was some of the original homesteaders.
18. What is your favorite sport to watch?
Neither Chris nor I really like watching any sports. Maybe if Hayes decides to play any sports, we will become a little more sports minded.

I really like the mango smells at Bath and Body Works, and Sauve dry shampoo smells just like it! haha

20. What is your favorite face cream?
I have never really used one.
21. Favorite baby/kids products?
Um I have a love hate relationship with the Bjorn. Hayes loves it and I hate wearing it. He is just too heavy for me, and it starts killing my shoulders after a couple of minutes. Hayes loves it so much, he will find it laying around the house and try to put it on himself. My dad carries him around in it most afternoons. They do work! haha
22. People watcher?
Not only am I a people watcher, but I tend to be a people commentator. Kind of in a sarcastic petty sort of way. I know, I know I am horrible. I have pretty thick skin though, so I always figure people are probably saying as bad or worse about me too, and I really could care less.
23. Are you a morning or night person?
In high school and my early 20s I was definitely a night person. Then I don’t know what happened but I want to be in bed by 9 now, and I love getting up early and getting things accomplished. Must have been my maternal clock or something.

We have 2 dogs. Scout an old Boxer and Diesel a Bull Mastiff

25. Any new and exciting news you'd like to share?
I do but I am not sure when I will be able to spill the beans. Oh but we did move last weekend that was pretty exciting. I haven’t taken any pictures yet though, because the house is still over run with boxes and they are driving me crazy! It kind of sucks moving on a Sunday, and then having to go back to work the next day. Oh well the weekend is almost here. Hopefully I will get a lot accomplished then.
26. What did you want to be when you were little?
Either a kindergarten teacher or a stay at home mom. I am still working towards the second one J
27. What is your favorite memory?
3 different ones stand out. Chris and my first date (4/20/2006), our wedding day(6/30/2007 and the day Hayes was born (12/9/2011) I know none of those are specific memories but they each bring back lots of good memories. Hmm… maybe I will write about our interesting first date sometime.
28. Are you a cat or dog person?
I like dogs when they are outside and I don’t have to take care of them. Cats have a tendency to attack my hair.  Yeah I am not really a huge animal fan. I used to like them more, but having a child definitely fills any void that an animal used to.
29. Are you married?
5 ½ years and loving it more all the time.

30. Always wear your seat belt?
Yes, in fact it feels weird to even drive through a parking lot without it on.
31. Been in a car accident?
I have been in couple of fender benders but none of them were really my fault. The first one I was in high school and someone backed out in front of me on my parent’s road and I ran into the side of them. Then another time I was taking a left through an intersection and someone took a free right, right into my passenger side fender. Then I was driving and it was pouring down rain and the light changed to yellow and the person in front of me slammed on their breaks and stopped in the middle of the crosswalk. I had almost bald tires, so I just slid, I tried down shifting and that didn’t help either. Let’s just say the push bumper on my truck made a Geo Metro into a 2 seater. So I guess that one was kind of my fault, at least that is what the cops said. ;( Those were all when I was in high school or right after though. I haven’t been even close to an accident in over 10 years.
32. Any pet peeves?
Clicky pens. I have told the guys that I work with that it is a privilege to have those type of pens. A few of them have lost this privilege due to excessive clicking. Haha. I am the only female, I get what I want!
33. Favorite pizza toppings?
Bacon (not Canadian) pineapple and sausage with white sauce.
34. Favorite flower?
Tulips. Good thing I live by the tulip capital of the US!
35. Favorite ice cream?
I don’t eat ice cream very much, but sometimes in the summer I like to go get a hard ice cream cone with a waffle cone and either Maple Nut or Blackberry cheesecake.

36. Favorite fast food restaurant?
Maybe Burger King? I don’t know, I also have a love hate relationship with fast food. I crave it ALL THE TIME then I have it, and think eh it really wasn’t that good, and I wish I didn’t waste all those calories. So frustrating!

37. How many times did you fail your driver's test?
I passed them both the first time.

38. From whom did you get your last email?
Kelly at Kellys’ Korner. She took time to respond to a question I had. It kind of surprised me. I have no clue how she finds the time to do all she does!
39. Which store would you choose to max out your credit card?
I don’t even have a credit card. Let’s just say hypothetically though I could easily spend all my money at Costco. They have everything.
40. Favorite book?
Gone with the Wind. I loved it until the very end, and then I cried like a baby and I was so mad. I read it in high school, and I stayed up all night after I finished, crying. I really think that book should have had a happy ending. I usually read historically Western romances. They have to end happy too.
41. Like your job?
I love the people that I work with, but the actual company and its politics really make me mad.
42. Broccoli?
Yes, as long as it has either cheese, butter or ranch to accompany it.
43. What was your favorite vacation?
Probably our honeymoon. We went to Lake Chelan for the week and it was just so relaxing and carefree. As a child my favorite was probably DisneyLand. I hope I can take my kids there someday.
44. Last person you went out to dinner with?
I’m sure it was Chris, but I have no clue when that was! haha

45. What are you listening to right now?
Silence. Ok maybe not complete silence. I hear mice clicking and keyboards and the heating system. The engineering office is always ghostly quiet.

46. What is your favorite color?
Sparkly red

47. How many tattoos do you have?
One little tiny one that I got when I was in Costa Rica at 15. Haha rebel
48. Coffee drinker?
Yes! I don’t drink it so much for the caffeine as I do for the taste. My morning always feels like something is missing if I don’t have my coffee. I prefer the kind that I make at home in my Keurig to buying at a coffee stand. Unless it is blended or iced then I like the coffee stand better. J
49. Favorite drink?
Alcoholic- gin and squirt, Non Alcoholic-I don’t know, water? That is the one I drink the most.
50. What word describes you best?
Caring. I am always caring for other people i.e. Chris, the kids. Haha

Boring!

.

Yep that's me! I haven't forgotten about you guys, my life has just been boring. Well actually I would say my life has been the exact opposite of boring lately. But it is all stuff I can't really talk about on my blog yet. I just wanted to check in and let you guys no we are doing good, actually better than that. There have just been a lot of changes around here lately. Hopefully I will be able to share about some of those changes soon. If anyone is actually interested, feel free to comment, and I will fill you in through email.
I can tell you guys that we are moving! Woohoo. For those of you that don't know we have been living at my parents house for the past year. Well not really in their house, but on their property. We do everything in the house, but Chris, Hayes and I sleep out in our huge 5th wheel. This has worked out great, because we have had build in baby sitters! Ha. No but it has been so nice with work, I don't have to take Hayes anywhere, super early in the morning. Chris and I both have to be to work at 7am, and getting myself ready and out the door in time is plenty. Anyway due to some of the changes that are happening(no I am not pregnant) we need a house. So... We got one! The best part is it is 3 houses down from my parents! So in the mornings, my mom is just going to come over before I live and stay there in the mornings and until Hayes wakes up, then they will probably go back to her house. This works out great then I don't have to try and get Hayes and myself ready in the morning.
So we are moving in on Sunday. I am so excited. Oh and Hayes turned 10 months old yesterday, so hopefully I can get that post together soon

So that is pretty much what the house looks like. I don't have any pictures right not, but it is awesome! It's a split level with 4 bedrooms 3 baths and a 2 car garage. The house is on a little over an acre and really private. There is a huge fir tree in the front yard with a rope swing. I will try and post some pictures of moving day!
So I am here, and hopefully by next week life will calm down a little and not be so cryptic! haha

Walking

Hayes started walking running over the weekend! Yep my little 9 almost 10 month old baby, is full out running across the room. He will be standing holding on to something, and he turns around and takes a step, if he doesn't fall right away, he takes off running. He usually makes it about 7 or 8 steps before he face plants and slides across the floor. Oh dear lord we are in trouble!!!!
I had a dream when he was a couple of months old, that he stood up and ran across the room. Watching him run now, is identical to my dream, it is kinda crazy. Hayes has no fear, and when he falls he doesn't even put his hands down or anything, what a crazy little boy!
I have been trying to get him on video but every time he sees the camera, he just crawls over to it and wants to grab it. Haha maybe my mom will have better luck today.
